CREATING A COMIC PICTURE
Today we have been asked to take a picture of us and edit it in photoshop we had to take a picture take the background out and alter the face after you have done that you had to make a copy and then make it black and white after i added the pixel theme to it to make it look like a proper comic picture.

Market Research Blog

For this we were asked to go out into town to look for different styled cards that you could send people; this is so that we were able to do research on what we could do our cards on and what they will look like.
We were also looking at it to see if they use rule of thirds and what they have on the card. I have chosen several cards that I think use good rule of thirds and that  they stand out from all the other cards that were there. They all use an artistic effect, this means that they have been made to look like they have all been painted by hand.

I have chosen this card to use because I think that it stands out well and that it is different to a normal Christmas card, because it looks hand-painted but it looks like it's been computer animated or generated.

I think that it is good because it has the trees in the background with the snow on it and that it has the effect that looks like it has been hand painted, but it could be a photo.

They are very expensive to buy if you would like to have one you will have to pay around £3.00-£3.50 so they are very expensive for a card but the person that you will be giving it to will like it.

I like this one because again it has the painted effect, so that it looks like the bear has been hand-painted. I think that it is also good because it has all different style to the first one, instead of it using colours to do with christmas like cold colours (blue, white and some grey and black), it uses gold, greens and more colours to do with nature. It looks like that it is a hand made card made by a child for their parents. I think this because of the way they have used glitter to make the tree and the handmade text and the fact it looks like the bear is cuddling its cub.
Again this card is very expensive it is about £3.50 this is a card that is meant to look like a child has made it for their parents. The only thing that shows that the card is for christmas is the trees that are on the card. This is the only thing that makes me think that it is christmas related.
I like this one because again it looks like they have been hand painted but it also looks like it has been made by a child. Again, I like the colours because they are different to what have been used by other christmas cards like the first one.

I like that it looks like the bears are showing passion and heart. I think that it is good how they played that into the card and that it is trying to say that there is always love at christmas.

This is a expensive card to buy if you would like to buy this it will be £3.50 but the style that is used shows that it is again hand made.
Include findings from existing market research and history of the christmas card, what is the religious significance?

"The history of the christmas card is very outstanding; it is very informative on how christmas cards came about and who thought of them. The custom of sending Christmas cards was started in the UK in 1843 by Sir Henry Cole. He was a civil servant (Government worker) who had helped set-up the new 'Public Record Office' (now called the Post Office), where he was an Assistant Keeper, and wondered how it could be used more by ordinary people."
